Our first weekend at market

So the weekend is nearly over, and Little Jack Horners has officially completed it's first weekend at market!

Happily (and with a lot of relief) it can be confirmed that both markets, Parliament Hill on the Saturday and Marylebone on the Sunday, went pretty well. We sold almost all the pies we took along, and would have almost certainly sold out if Saturday hadn't been a wash-out. When you start selling at open-air markets, you do learn to appreciate and respect those loyal people who brave their local market when the weather is pretty dismal. It's also clearly apparent and also pretty heart-warming to see how much local markets are valued on such days.

So a special thanks to those hardened characters, and also a big thanks to everyone we met and spoke to over the past two days, and all our friends who turned up to support us.

For those who are still keen, over the next few days we will still have some pies available for sale at the Spencer Arms in Putney while stocks last. The contact details are available on the website.

Next weekend, we'll be visiting Pimlico Market on the Saturday and Queens Park Market on the Sunday, so hopefully we'll see you there.

James
